Two Qatari Newspapers and the Iraqi issue
Iraq-Qatar, Politics, 12/29/2004

The two Qatari newspapers 'al-Raya' and 'al-Watan' stressed that the occupation use of excessive force in Iraq has failed to achieve security and stability there.

In its editorial on Tuesday 'Al-Raya' daily newspaper criticized the fierce military invasion to Fallujah city and other Iraqi areas and cities saying that it has caused a true human disaster and turned many parts of the city into debris.

For its part, 'al-Watan' newspaper said in its editorial that the withdrawal of the Iraqi Islamic Party, one of the biggest parties in Iraq from elections asserted the non- availability of suitable security circumstances.

It called upon the Iraqi government to hold a comprehensive national advisory conference with all Iraqi political powers.
