American intelligence expects the correctness of Bin Laden tape
Regional-USA, Politics, 12/28/2004
Officials in the American intelligence expect that Osama Bin Laden is behind the new voice tape which recognized Abu Mudab al-Zarqawi a "prince" for al-Qaida in Iraq and called for boycotting the Iraqi elections.
One official in the American intelligence asked to be anonymous said that the voice is most expectedly for Bin laden, though it is not "highly clear." Assistant for the spokesman for the White House Trent Davy refused to comment on whether the new tape record is for Osama Bin Laden but he said that the US expects a vast participation in the next poll and security measures will be taken to guarantee the process of the election.
In a new tape recording broadcast by al-Jazeera TV yesterday, Bin Laden recognized Abu Musab al-Zarqawi as aleader for al-Qaida in Iraq. He said after two months from declaring al-Zarqawi as joining the ranks of Osama Bin Laden. He said that this step is a great step in the path to unify efforts of what he had described as Mujahideen to establish the state of "the rightful."
In the tape, Bin Laden hailed the brave attacks carried out by al-Zarqawi groups against the American forces in Iraq. He called for boycotting the next Iraqi elections, holding every and each one taking part in it as non believer." Bin Laden said that these elections came according to the constitution which was approved under the former American administrator in Iraq Paul Bremer, noting that this constitution is unaccepted ( Jahili) because it does not recognize Islam as the only source for legislation and therefore every one takes part in the elections is a non believer.
He called for caution from all those who speak in the names of parties and Islamic groups and urge people to take part in these elections.
