Pope John Paul II: Call for peace for the holy lands

Pope John Paul II of the Vatican on Saturday said he was praying for peace in the world and the Holy Lands where Jesus Christ was born. He told thousands of believers at the St. Paul Square on the occasion of Christmas celebrations that those places should be kept safe under peace and justice.
His Holiness urged the world to work hard for peace and stability, calling for respect of all forms of human lives.
