Morocco, Spain organize joint patrols to crack down on illegal immigrants

The Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie and the Spanish Guardia Civil started Wednesday joint patrols in Gibraltar Strait to crack down on networks smuggling illegal immigrants to Europe via Morocco, said a Spanish official source.
Last summer, the two counties organized patrols between the Sahara and the Canary Islands.
