Returning back to Falluja

The citizens of Falluja city to the west of Baghdad started returning back to their houses to find out a great destruction inflicted by the plenary American attack against the city which started on December 8th.
According to the Iraqi government decision, hundreds returned back to al-Andalus quarters to the west of Falluja which was converted to a city of ghosts totally destroyed as a result of the violent American bombardment. Some 200,000 persons who fled from the city are staying in provisional tents ( in adjoining cities and villages).
The American forces are still fighting pockets of gunmen in Falluja. They bombarded yesterday areas in the city. One American military spokesman said that three members of the American marines were killed in the clashes in al-Anbar governorates which includes Falluja and al-Ramadi.
The Interim Iraqi government announced it will compensate families whose houses were damaged, even partially, as a result of the bombardment. Meantime, the American marine forces were occupied by registering finger prints and photographing the eyes of men returning back to Falluja so as to ensure that fighters will not sneak back to the city.
In other field developments, one civilian Iraqi was killed in a bomb explosion in al-Thweithah area near Basra to the south of Iraq.
