Turkish Ambassador highlights Syrian-Turkish Relations

Turkish Ambassador to Syria, Khaled Cevik has stressed the remarkable development that the Syrian-Turkish relations witnessed lately and after signing Adana agreement on 25 October 1998, saying Syria and Turkey are focusing on developing cooperation between both sides in all domains.
In a statement to al-Baath Syrian newspaper Wednesday, Cevik said President Bashar al-Assad's historical visit to Turkey early this year and the exchanged visits by the officials of both friendly countries is considered a turning point in relations between the two countries.
He added that Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Syria today will constitute another turning point in the relations between the two countries, pointing out that it comes at a time peace is needed more than any time in the past.
In a statement to reporters on the eve of Erdogan's visit to Syria, Cevik underlined that the relations between the two countries are witnessing remarkable development, and both countries are focusing on developing the possibilities of the standing cooperation in all fields.
He pointed out to the agreements signed between the two countries, asserting that joint projects began to increase in Syria where investment of the Turkish firms amounted to $ 1 billion.
He added that relations between both countries began to give positive results in the interest of both countries and interests.
