President al-Assad, Premier Erdogan-toured Damascus Historical Sites

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad and his spouce on Wednesday evening accompanied Turkish Premier and his spouce on a tour of Damascus historical and archeological sites.

Among the places visited in the sightseeing were Khan Asa'ad Basha, Museum of Folklore and al-Azm Palace amidst great delight and cheers of local residents.

Participants in the tour were Wife of Syrian Premier and the Turkish official delegation accompanying Erdogan.

Earlier, Syria's First Lady, Mrs. Asma al-Assad, met Erdogan's Wife, Mrs. Amina Erdogan where they exchanged opinions on several issues regarding the progress achieved in Syria and Turkey in terms of family planning, childhood and youth.

They also reviewed the experiments of both countries in the field of improving living conditions in remote areas and means of supporting them economically, socially and culturally.
