Seven Iraqis killed, Washington investigates Musil attack

The governor of Musil, in the north of Iraq, announced the closure of the five bridges on the Tigris which link the two parts of the city, following the explosion which targeted the food hall in an American base in the city and resulted in killing and wounding scores, most of them Americans.
The governor Dureid Kashmoula said in a press statement that the closure of the bridges started as from yesterday at dawn until an indefinite time. He threatened to kill anyone who violates this decision.
The American army started an investigation to know the reasons behind the explosion which was the bloodiest since the US President George W. Bush announced the end of major military operations in Iraq, on May 1st, 2003.
A new American outcome said that 20 Americans ( 15 soldiers and 5 contractors) and two members of the Iraqi forces were killed. Some 66 persons were injured including 42 American military men, one member of the Iraqi security, 9 Iraqi civilians and other 4 civilians whose identities were not disclosed. Another spokesman for the American army stressed on Tuesday evening the killing of 22 persons, at least 19 of them are American soldiers.
While, one American military spokesman expected the attack to be a result of missiles as seen in the pictures taken from the site of the explosion. Other American military sources have not ruled out the occurrence of a suicide attack after Sunni supporters army, which claimed responsibility for the operation, said that one of its "executors" carried out the operation.
