Resistance is sole choice for Palestinian people, Kaddoumi
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 12/22/2004

Palestinian Foreign Minister and head of Fatah movement, Farouk Kaddoumi, said the Palestinian people have no other choice but to pursue resistance to recover its rights from "people who refuse to renounce their colonialist goals."

"Palestinians will carry on their political fight and popular war that will oust Sharon from the political scene next year," said Kaddoumi at an interview broadcast Monday in the Moroccan channel "TVM."

The Palestinian official, who took part, Monday in Rabat, in the third session of the Trusteeship Committee of Beit Mal Al Qudsheld, fustigated Israel for not keeping its promises.

"The Israeli government which does not respect its commitments benefits nonetheless of the United States' support," he deplored.

Kaddoumi said his visit to Morocco is part of efforts meant to explain "our vision concerning the next phase, and reinforce relations with Arab countries."

The dream of Israel and enemies of Palestine to see the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) dismantled will never come true, he concluded, stressing that the combat will continue with all available means until victory is achieved.

Kaddoumi also participated Monday in a ceremony to commemorate the 40th day of the death of Palestinian leaders Yasser Arafat. The ceremony, organized by the Moroccan Association for Support of the Palestinian People (AMSLP), was attended by several other figures, including ministers, deputies, diplomats and members of political organizations and Unions.
