Cappucci and accusations against Syria

Patriarch of Jerusalem in exile, Patriarch Hylarion Cappucci, has stressed that directing groundless accusations against Syria and putting pressure on her, are aimed at hindering Syria's role regionally and efforts on the international arena.
In a statement issued today, the patriarch stressed that Syria rejects terrorism and the aim of the accusations is "to influence Syria's stances and to intervene in the Lebanese affairs and gaining new colonialist ambitions."
He went on to say that these pressures on Syria came because of Syria's commitment to its identity and principles and persistence on international legitimacy.
