Syrian- Iraqi Joint Transport Companies ' meetings

Syria's Minister of Transport Makram Oubeid on Sunday signed with his Iraqi counterpart Louai al-Ours the two minutes of the General Assembly meetings for the two joint transport companies of road transport and maritime aviation.

The two sides have decided during these meetings to buy a running ship to be directly invested and to extend session of the Syrian-Iraqi joint Company Board for road transport for one year after the current session's expiring date. They also decided to cut the company assets consumption for the three upcoming years.

The Syrian- Iraqi Joint Maritime Company capital is EUR 25 million and is currently engaging a ship hired for three months with a US dollar 6300 daily.

The capital of the Syrian-Iraqi joint company for road transport which is established in 2002 have totaled EUR 10 million with 90 trucks and revenues that are expected to get SP 161 million in 2005 according to the decided plan.
