Three westerners killed in Iraq

Three westerners were killed in Musil city to the north of Iraq yesterday after their car they were riding was exposed to an attack to the west of the city.

Local witnesses said that fighters attacked the car which was carrying the three foreigners in addition to their Arab driver and set fire in it. The witnesses confirmed seeing the bodies of the four persons near the burnt car.

One of the three westerners tried to escape the place but the gunmen caught him and he was beheaded.

Since November, the American forces found more than 150 bodies in the streets of Musil, most of them for members of the national guards and other security forces.

One American Marine was killed during clashes with gunmen in al-Anbar governorate to the west of Baghdad which includes al-Ramadi and Falluja cities.

To the south of Baghdad, two soldiers of the Iraqi national guard were killed and other two injured in an attack launched by gunmen against a checkpoint for the guards on the road between al-Lteifeh and al-Mahmodeyah.

In another development, one armed Iraqi group calling itself "the Islamic movement for Iraq Mujahideen" announced the killing of the Italian hostage Silvatory Santor.

Concerning the hostages in Iraq, the "sans frontier journalists" organization called for a major demonstration for journalists in the streets of Paris next Sunday on the fourth monthly anniversary of kidnapping the two French hostages in Iraq.
