Qaddoumi blames US for not solving Palestine issue
Palestine-USA, Politics, 12/17/2004

Chairman of the Palestinian Liberation Organization Political Department, Farouk Qaddoumi, has stressed that the measures taken by the United States are the main obstacle that stand in the way of solving the Palestinian issue.

Qaddoumi who is currently visiting Tehran told the Iranian News Agency "Mehr" yesterday that the peace process in the Middle East is still faltering because the United States doesn't take the necessary steps to activate it, but on the contrary it has made concessions to Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, and led to the emptying the peace process of its positive content.

He indicated that the aim of his current regional tour is "to boost relations with Arab and Islamic countries and to ask support to the Palestinian cause, and to the steadfastness of the Palestinian people who are suffering under occupation."
