Three Palestinians killed, Abbas is persistent on his position

News reports in Gaza said that one Palestinian was killed yesterday at dawn by the bullets of the Israeli soldiers as he was trying to sneak to Nister Hazani settlement to the west of Khan Younis. Saraya al-Quds (al-Quds groups) claimed responsibility for the operation noting that the killed man is called Muhammad al-Awaj.

This development came after two activist Palestinians were killed on Wednesday to the south of Gaza in a joint operation carried out by each of Saraya al-Quds, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement and al-Aqsa groups of the Palestine liberation movement ( Fatah).

A joint statement said that the two activists were killed during an attack at a convoy and a position for the occupation army near Kisovin crossing situated between Gaza and Israel. One Israeli military spokesman said that the attack also resulted in injuring one Israeli soldier and three soldiers and one civilian.

In the West Bank, gunmen from al-Aqsa groups killed one Palestinian they said he is a guide for the Israeli security forces and threw his body in the main square in the downtown of Ramullah.

With the continued Palestinian operations and Israeli assassination, chairman of the PLO executive committee Mahmoud Abbas defended what his call for demilitarization of the Intifada.

In an exclusive statement to al-Jazeera TV, upon his arrival in Doha on Wednesday, Abbas said replying to voices which opposed his call saying "the Palestinian interest requires that."
