In a new tape alleged for al-Qaida leader: Bin laden blames Riyadh, Arab regimes
Regional, Politics, 12/17/2004
A new tape presumed to be for the leader of al-Qaida organization Osama Bin Laden commended the recent attack against the American consulate in Jeddah and held the Saudi authorities the responsibility for all problems the kingdom suffers.
The tape which was issued yesterday on an Islamic site on the Internet said that solving the problems Saudi Arabia is facing should be considered from its original roots, accusing the Saudi government of violating the conditions to spare blood of Muslims.
The tape also accused the Saudi royal family of spending "public assets" at a time when millions suffer "poverty and depravity." The tape said that "as there is no difference between the former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and the prime minister Eyad Allawi, there is also no difference between the former ruler of Iraq Paul Bremer and other rulers of the region."
Bin Laden accused all Arab rules as executing the American policies. He also threatened the US because it is not capable of maintaining security as "far as it brings in destruction to the Palestinians and the Iraqis."
