Libya withdraws one billion dollars from its frozen assets in the USA

A source at the Libyan central bank said yesterday that Tripoli withdrew its frozen assets in the USA. The Libyan TV said that the same source explained that the value of the frozen assets, in addition to interest achieved during the freezing period, reached one billion dollars.
Worthy mentioning that the declaration of this step came only three days after the decision taken by the US President George W. Bush to alleviate restrictions on the American companies which want to carry out activities in Libya.
