Abbas calls for demilitarization of the Palestinian intifada

In a development relevant to the field situation in the Palestinian territories, the chairman of the PLO executive committee Mahmoud Abbas renewed his call for demilitarization of the Palestinian Intifada.
In a press interview issued yesterday, Abu Mazin said that the Intifada is a legitimate right for the people in order to express rejection for occupation by people and social means. But he indicated that the use of weapons have been damaging and should be stopped.
