Abbass: visits to Syria and Lebanon are successful

Chairman of the Palestinian Liberation Organization Executive Committee, Mahmoud Abbass has described his visit to Syria and Lebanon as historic and successful, expressing hope of opening new chapter of relations with both states.
Abbass stressed in an interview published by the Kuwaiti daily al Rai al-Aam yesterday that the Palestinian problem needs the combination of efforts to achieve the Palestinian national project represented by the establishment of the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as it capital, and the return of the refugees.
Regarding Abbass expected visit to Kuwait, Abbass indicated that his visit aims at creating a new era of relations between the leaderships and peoples of Kuwait and Palestine.
