Galloway: UN Resolution No. 1559 on Lebanon is unjust
Lebanon-UK, Politics, 12/8/2004

British Labor MP George Galloway stressed that the UN Security Council resolution No. 1559 was an unjust move directed against Syria and Lebanon and interfered in Lebanon's internal affairs.

Galloway said in a forum in Beirut overnight the resolution was issued under American and Israeli support.

Regarding the Iraqi issue, Galloway called for not holding general elections in the country under the American occupation, signaling that elections might not be held as scheduled.

Galloway added that those who occupied Iraq were lying to the international public opinion concerning the allegations about Iraqi mass destruction weapons and that toppling of the former Iraqi regime would lead to a peaceful compromise in the Middle East.
