Al-Assad pardoning of political detainees

Some 112 political detainees in Syria have been released in the framework of a presidential pardon.
Last month, 20 political detainees were set free, thus the total number of those released reached 132 persons recently. "This release of detainees is one of a series of similar procedures taken by Syria over the past few years to enhance tolerance tendency in dealing with the file of political detainees," the official news agency SANA reported said.
