Four Palestinians, one Israeli soldier killed in Gaza

Ezz Eddine al-Qassam groups, the military wing of the Islamic resistance movement Hamas claimed responsibility for the operation held today and resulted in killing one Israeli soldier and injuring other four to the east of al-Shuja'eya quarters in Gaza.

In a statement the group said that one member of the group was killed but gave no details.

An Israeli force of 20 armored vehicles incurred today morning in al-Shuja'eya quarters near al-Mintar crossing under the pretext of searching for military equipment. According to Israeli military sources, one explosive went off while one Israeli occupation army soldier was inspecting a hens house in the quarters and this resulted in killing one Israeli soldier and injuring other four, two of them are in critical health conditions.

News reports said Israel's reaction in Gaza to that ambush came quickly as Israeli reconnaissance planes bombarded one building under construction in the downtown of the city and resulted in killing two Palestinians, one of Ismael al-Sawakela from al-Jihad al-Islami ( Islamic Jihad) movement and the second is also from the same movement.

The reports said that at least 6 Palestinians were injured in the bombardment and one of them is in a critical health condition; while the Israeli planes continue bombarding the area.
