6 Egyptians return back to their families, Azzam is grateful for Sharon
Egypt-Israel, Politics, 12/7/2004

The 6 Egyptian students who arrived from Israel, arrived in their houses in the outskirts of Cairo, amid joys and happiness of their families after they had spent one full day of investigations with the Egyptian security and intelligence forces.

Cars from the ministry of the interior carried the 6 students to their houses in Helwan and al-Maadi quarters to the south of Cairo and al-Saff city in al-Jeeza and al-Imalea governorate where they had met with their families for the first time after their return after Israel had released them.

Those who were detained on August 25th in Israel and were accused of planning to kidnap and assassinate Israeli officials were released in exchange for Cairo's release of the Israeli spy Azzam Azzam who was spending since 1997 a 15 year labor imprisonment after he was convicted of spying for Tel Aviv.

Tel Aviv said that the 6 Egyptians, Mustafa Abu Deif ( 23 year old), Muhammad Yusri Hussein Salem ( 24 year old); Muhammad Jamal Ezzat Ali and Mustafa mahmoud Youssef Muhammad ( 21 year old); Muhammad Maher Sayed Ahmad ( 25 year old), Imad Sayed Agmad al-Tuhami ( 22 year old) sneaked to Israel via Sinai desert.
