Saudi Arabia-USA, Politics, 12/7/2004

Al-Qaida organization in Saudi Arabia has claimed responsibility for the attack against the building of the strongly protected American consulate in Jeddah which resulted in killing 12 persons including five non-American employees in the consulate.

In a statement on the Internet, al-Qaida organization in the Arab peninsula -- al-Qaida wing in Saudi Arabia -- said "your brothers in the group of Abu Anas al-Shami in Falluja invasion, broke into one of the fortified places in the Arab peninsula and broke into the American consulate in Jeddah which governs the country's affairs where spies and traitors are spread." The statement added that the persons killed in the consulate are one Yemeni, one Sudanese, one Palestinian, one Pakistani and one from Sri Lanka. Other 8 were injured. They are two from Yemen, two from Pakistan, one Lebanese, one Palestinian, one Indian and one from Sri Lanka.
