British Labour MP George Galloway said his visit to Lebanon was the first after the clear judicial decision to refute lies and accusations against him because of his solidarity with Arab issues, particularly the Palestinian and Iraqi issues.

Galloway added in a statement upon his arrival in Beirut overnight that these allegations were aimed at silencing his voice and his deeds which advocated the Arab rights.

The British legislator will participate Monday in an open dialogue organized by the Civic Campaign for the Support of Palestine and Iraq.
