Arab Ministers of Environment council and the Israeli Dimona Rector
Israel-Regional, Environment, 12/6/2004
Palestinian Authority officially demanded the Arab League to insert in the agenda of the meeting of the Council of Arab Ministers of Environment an item about the environmental and health hazards resulted from the Israeli Dimona nuclear rector.
A responsible source in the Arab League said in a statement Saturday that the demand includes discussion on the role of the Arab Atomic Energy Agency in facing the health and environmental dangers resulting from the Israeli rector and its threat to the Palestinian people and territories.
The Palestinians also called for outlining an Arab plan to deal with the possibility of facing a possible environmental disaster in the region caused by the rector.
