Syria denies giving up Rabin's deposit for negotiating with Israel
Syria has denounced what was announced by the spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency Majid Abdul Fattah over Damascus's giving up what was called "Rabin's deposit" in which the former Israeli prime minister Yitzahak Rabin vowed in 1994 to withdraw from the occupied Syrian Golan heights for full normalization of relations with Syria.

Egypt proposes mediation between Syria and Israel
Spokesman for the Egyptian Presidency Majid Abdul Fattah has stressed that Cairo is proposing to mediate between the two Syrian and Israeli sides. He called on Tel Aviv to follow Syria's example noting that "Israel knows well what it is wanted from it."
