Al-Wattan: European Union and the ME Peace Process

Holland Foreign Minister Bernard Bot said that the European Union will never abandon its role to push the peace process forward in the Middle East, asserting rejection to any pressures or foreign attempts to marginalize its role.
In an interview given to Saudi newspaper al-Wattan published Tuesday, Bot added that the EU role won't be confined to economic aspects but it would expand to be of political influence, pointing out to the EU initiative to send observers to the Palestinian lands to supervise the Palestinian elections in January 2005.
