Syrian Minister of Interior: Syria is with Iraq's liberation

Syria's Minister of Interior General Ghazi Kanaan on Monday said Syria is with Iraq's liberation and unity as a land and people and would like an end to his ordeal which is reflected on the neighbouring countries.

In an arrival statement, Kanaan told SANA that the aim of his visit was to partake at the Iraq's neighbouring countries Interior Ministers meeting that would start today in Teheran.

He noted the meeting would deal with many themes related to latest developments on the Iraqi yard mainly in light of the upcoming elections that "we hope will include all the Iraqis spectrum and where a new national unity government can emerge in the Iraqi people interest." Kanaan underlined the importance of reaching at a joint perception in the meeting to become a work-directory during the upcoming period for the neighbouring countries of Iraq.
