Morocco, Sports, 11/16/2004
Moroccan rugby squad lost on Saturday its title of Africa's champion after loosing to the Namibian side by 22 to 39 in the finals of the African cup of nations here.
The Moroccan team won by 13 to 8 in the first half of the match that was umpired by South African Eugene Daniels.
The chairman of the Moroccan rugby federation Said Bouhajeb blamed Daniels' poor referring who expelled two Moroccan players in the last ten minutes of the game.
Had it not been for the partial referring, the championship would have gone to the Moroccan side, he regretted in a phone interview with MAP.
Last year, the Moroccan team had snatched the title after defeating the Namibian squad by 27 to 7.
