Kuwait tightens security measures on the border with Iraq

Kuwait has started new security measures to tighten control on its borders with Iraq.
The Kuwaiti authorities are working to complete the "Steel door" a steel front of 217 km long to replace the soil wall which extends along the borders between the two states.
The general directorate for land borders security is studying new contracts with local and international companies in order to improve all equipment and cameras that are 7 year old.
Abdullah al-Muhanna, the director general of the land border security said that there are monitoring instruments by infrared cameras that can depict sneaking attempts and they need now to be developed and linked to proper centers.
