Arafat's funeral today in Cairo
Egypt has announced it will hold a military funeral for the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat in Cairo. His body arrived there from Paris on board of a French plane.

Succession of the late Palestinian President was arranged quickly for the presidency of the PLO, presidency of the Fatah movement and the presidency of the Palestinian Authority. The American forces in Musil bombarded positions of the gunmen in this city which is situated to the north of Iraq. One American military spokeswoman said that the operation covered air raids and land attacks targeted aggregation for the gunmen in certain areas of the city.

Human rights abuses victims to testify at public hearings
The Justice and Reconciliation Commission (IER), an independent body set up last January to seek out-of-court settlement for past human rights violations in Morocco, announced on Wednesday it will hold, starting mid-December, public hearings for victims to testify on "human rights violations committed between 1956 and 1999."

18 US soldiers were killed in Falluja
The American forces said that 18 American soldiers and five Iraqi soldiers were killed since the beginning of the large scale attack against Falluja city on Monday. A spokesman for these forces said that 69 American soldiers and 34 Iraqi soldiers were also injured in the fighting.
