Russia and Sharm al-Sheikh Conference on Iraq

Russia on Tuesday expressed hope that the coming international conference on Iraq, scheduled to be convened in Egypt's Sharm al- Sheikh during the current month, will contribute to boosting the international community efforts in preserving Iraq sovereignty.
The official spokesman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexander Yakofinko, said in a statement in Moscow that the conference has to show the international community willingness to offer tangible support for the stability in Iraq through reaching a national settlement and keeping Iraq sovereignty.
