Powell: Iraq's conference will be an occasion to talk to the Iranians, Syrians

The US secretary of state Colin Powell said yesterday that the international conference on Iraq due to be held in Sharm Esh Sheikh, Egypt, on November 22 and 23 will be an occasion to talk with the Syrians and the Iranians who were invited to take part in it.
Powell explained "as all of us will be in the same conference, I expect to talk with all including the Syrians and the Iranians and others." He added that nothing was decided yet on likely, separate meetings with the Iranians.
