Lebanese Minister for boosting ties with Syria

Lebanese Interior Minister Suleiman Franjieh stressed the importance of the distinguish relationship between his country and Syria, saying Beirut would continue to commit itself to that conviction.
In a statement after attending a session of the Lebanese Parliament overnight, Franjieh rejected foreign intervention in Lebanon and Arab states' internal affairs. He added the UN for the first time issued a resolution seen as an flagrant intervention in the internal affairs of a member state without an official request.
He expressed confidence that the new government in Lebanon would succeed in solving everyday living problems and would work to prepare a fair electoral law.
