Syria is to sign a free-trade accord with the GCC

Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdul Rahman Al-Atiyah on Friday predicted a signing would take place on a special free-trade accord between Syria and the GCC on November 26 in Riyadh.
In a statement published by the Kuwaiti daily al-Anbaa, Atiyah said the inking would be during an upcoming visit by a Syrian economic delegation to the Saudi capital later this month to hold mutual economic talks between the two sides. "Talks between the two delegations will concentrate on boosting trade exchange and activating transport and transit," Al-Atiyah told the paper.
