Egypt first batch of liquefied gas to Spain next December

The first shipment of liquefied natural gas, produced by the Spanish-Egyptian Gas Company (SEGAS), will arrive in Spain next month.
This statement by Minister of Petroleum Sameh Fahmi was made following a meeting of SEGAS General Assembly, which approved the 20 percent contribution to SEGAS by the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation and the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company.
More than $ 1.3 billion has been invested in the liquefaction project which was set up in 1999 in Damietta," Fahmi said, adding that the project is the biggest of its kind worldwide. Total annual production capacity is 7.5 billion cubic metres to produce
