U.S. Government denies issuing threat alert to its citizens in Morocco
Morocco-USA, Local, 11/4/2004
The United States' Government denied on Tuesday a news report that it had issued a warning of potential anti-American acts in Morocco.
This information is wrong, there is no specific threats against American citizens in Morocco, said the U.S. embassy in Rabat. It explained that the note, released on November 1st is a reminder of previously released security information regarding the potential for terrorist attacks against U.S. interests worldwide, and that demonstrations and violent acts against U.S. citizens overseas remains a concern.
This security information is supplied by the state department on a regular basis and applies to the whole world, the source said.
