Scooby: No change in our policy towards Syria

The American ambassador in Damascus Margaret Scooby expected yesterday that results of the American elections will not affect Syrian- American relations, regardless of the results.

Replying to a question in Damascus yesterday, Scooby said that the " US foreign policy towards this region will continue in general," adding as for the American- Syrian relations they are governed by an agreed policy by both the two parties ( the Republicans and the Democrats). And this led to the adoption of the Syria Accountability Act approved by the two parties.
