Several social projects dedicated by King Mohammed VI in Oujda and region

King Mohammed VI of Morocco dedicated several social projects to benefit young girls and the disabled in the Eastern town of Oujda and its region during a visit he paid to the region over the weekend.

In Beni Drar, 20 km north of here, the sovereign launched on Sunday the construction of two homes to host young girls, particularly those coming from rural areas, where they will be educated and live in a decent environment.

The two centres, which are part of a set of projects carried out by the Mohammed V Foundation, including animal breeding facilities for women, school drinking water utilities and sport fields, will cost 1.5 million Dhs each, around 150,000 euros.

Earlier, the monarch paid a visit to the Hassan II mosque of Oujda where he was informed on the literacy program conducted in the framework of an initiative implemented throughout the country.

King Mohammed VI also dedicated two centres in Oujda for young girls integration that will provide training and other educational services to young girls. The 1st centre cost 1.3 million Dhs, while the second 1.35 million Dhs.

The sovereign on the same occasion visited the training centre for disabled people belonging to the Association of disabled youth and made a 930,000 Dhs donation consisting of various equipments to be distributed to the handicapped, wheelchairs, cooking, sport outfits as well as a transportation bus.
