Criticism US policy in Iraq

British journalist and writer Patrick Seale on Friday said US President George W Bush's policy of combating terrorism have implied a political error in its tents and led to isolate America and to increase hatred towards it.

In a an article published by the London-based Arab newspaper al-Hayat, Seale said the great mistake made was to move the US military effort concentration into Iraq although there were no clear cut evidences that Iraq has acquired WMD or that it posed as an imminent danger and it has no link with al-Qaida and terror.

" The catastrophic war on Iraq has damaged the US reputation as it brought devastation and destruction to Iraqis É there is no hope looming in the horizon nor an obvious outlet," Seale said.

Also, US journalist and political analysts Thomas Friedman on Friday said the world would remain in a state of polarization unless the Palestinian state was established and a fair elections took place in Iraq.

In an article published by the Emirates newspaper Al-Itihad, Friedman stressed the gap would remain if none of these two issues were handled.

He called the US administration to adopt a different inclination in dealing with the world and shouldered the current team responsibility for the state of worry that is overwhelming it.

He warned against the widening of this rift between the US and the world in case George W. Bush wins the upcoming elections.
