Egypt, Sudan seek laying out solid economic integration

Egypt's Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry Rasheed Mohamed Rasheed and Sudanese Minister of Foreign Trade Abdel Hamid Kasha on Monday agreed on pushing up joint trade cooperation through solid infrastructure for economic 'integration.
These remarks were made at a meeting of the joint trade committee in Cairo.
This infrastructure includes facilitating transport means and customs procedures and creating a mechanism that thrashes out any problem that would crop up in joint trade and economic dealings, said the Egyptian minister.
The Sudanese minister announced at the meeting his country's approval to place as many as 15 Egyptian goods on the list of commodities that enjoy customs exemptions as part of the COMESA agreement.
