Two Palestinians were killed by the bullets of the Israeli occupation soldiers to the south of Gaza and thereby the number of Palestinians killed during the few past hours reached 16, at a time when the Israeli parliament ( Knesset) held a meeting on Monday to discuss the withdrawal plan from Gaza.
News reports from Gaza said that two killed Palestinians are Ahmad Abu Sultan and Sami Barbakh ( both of them are 19 years old). The reports said that number of injured Palestinians reached 70, 15 of them are in critical health condition and the number is expected to increase with the continued Israeli military operation in Khan Younis city.
A spokesman for the Israeli army said that the Israeli raids targeted several Palestinian gunmen who tried to launch attacks at the Israeli units.
On the other hand, Israeli military sources said that two soldiers were slightly injured during an incursion operation. Groups of Ezz Eddine al-Qassam group of the Hamas movement said it had fired anti-tank missiles against one Israeli tank that was directly hit.
Meantime, the occupation forces positioned in the towers of the Austrian quarters in Khan Younis, and the occupation bulldozers destroyed three houses and inflected damages in other houses.
Other news reports said that several women and children are still besieged amid an Israeli fire and bombardment in the said quarters. Al-Naser hospital in the area and the children department in particular was exposed to intensive bombardment in positions close to Nafe Dekalim settlement.
