Turkish minister of industry and trade meets Syrian officials concerned

Syria's Prime Minister Naji Otari on Sunday discussed with Turkish Minister of Industry and Trade Ali Coskun ways of developing cooperation between Syria and Turkey underlining the importance of enhancing and expanding its future prospects in the economic, trade and industrial fields.
Talks also dealt with industrial cooperation through activating role of businessmen and public and private industrial sectors in both countries.
The Syrian and Turkish sides reviewed the joint action to establish a joint free trade zone between them and to develop road services and border centers in a way that leads to expand the base of cooperation in the interest of the two countries.
For his part, Minister of Transport Makram Obeid discussed with Coskun means of bolstering the joint cooperation in many fields particularly in fields of maintenance of ships and its shipyards.
Both sides reviewed available prospects of cooperation in fields of recording ships and granting competency to it through coordination between the marine facilities in both countries.
They also reviewed participation of Turkish businessmen and companies in offers and tenders raised by Transport Ministry in the framework of its investment plan.
Later, Minister of Housing and Construction Mohammad Nihad Mushantat and Coskun emphasized the necessity to develop the existing friendly relations between Syria and Turkey and called for establishment of Syrian-Turkish constructional companies and joint investments.
Coskun underlined his country's seeking for deepening the relations with Syria in favour of pushing the economic growth and progress in both countries forward. He made it clear that Turkish Cabinet has issued directives to eliminate all obstacles that hinder development of the Syrian-Turkish cooperation in all fields.
