American diplomat killed in Baghdad, six Iraqis in Falluja

One American diplomat was killed in a mortar shelling attackthat targeted Victory Camp near the International Airport of Baghdad.
One official at the US Department Of State accompanying the US secretary of state Colin Powell in his visit to China said that Aid Zeitz, the assistant for the regional security official in the American embassy in Baghdad is the first American diplomat to be killed in Iraq.
In another development, six Iraqis were killed and other 7 injured in a new raid launched by the American planes against Falluja city. One American military spokesman said that a US jet fighter attacked a position for gunmen leadership still under construction.
For his part the Maj. in the Iraqi police, Aziz Ahmad, said that three Iraqi police members were killed in addition to three passersby. He added that the hit house was empty.
News reports said that a booby trapped car targeted one American vehicle near a complex for governmental offices in Abu Ghreib area. This resulted in great damages in several American vehicles that injured several soldiers. One booby trapped car went off yesterday at noon near one vehicle to the east of Musil city. No news were reported on casualties.
In Samera, one young man and one young woman were killed and four were injured in clashes between the American forces and gunmen. The clashes resulted in damaging a military vehicle.
