Washington allocates $ 18 million for projects in Arab states
Regional-USA, Politics, 10/23/2004

The US Department Of State announced yesterday the allocation of $ 18.5 million to finance civilian and economic projects in Jordan, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, the West Bank and Gaza.

The Department Of State announced a donation of $ 700,000 to be allocated for seven Jordanian universities to improve the quality of instruction, research, and materials in key reform areas and enhance Arab universities' administrative and managerial capacity. This aid is deducted from a sum of $ 220 million allotted by the congress in 2001 within the Middle east partnership initiative.
