Putin sides with Saudi Arabia on fighting terrorism

Russia's President Vladimir Putin put his country's weight behind a Saudi Arabian initiative on holding an international conference in Riyadh early February on fighting terrorism.
Putin, in a letter sent to Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah and published in Moscow Friday, said the latest events in Russia and Saudi Arabia had again shown that the danger of terrorism was a widespread phenomena everywhere.
