Lebanese FM meets with Iranian ambassador on development

Lebanese Foreign Minister Jean Obeid conferred Thursday with the Iranian Ambassador in Beirut Masoud Edresi on the latest developments in the region.
Following the meeting, Iran's ambassador said "we discussed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, particularly the UN Security Council Resolution No. 1559 and the statement issued this week regarding this issue." He reiterated Iran's stance vis-a-vis the Resolution which considered it a flagrant intervention in Lebanese sovereign affairs.
