Hariri meets Chinese ambassador in Beirut

Lebanese Premier Rafic Hariri conferred Monday with the Chinese Ambassador in Beirut Liu Xianghua on the ongoing consultations in the UN Security Council ( SC ) concerning the report of the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan proposed to SC on the resolution 1559.
Following the meeting, the Chinese Ambassador described the situation in the Middle East as critical, expressing hope the region will enjoy peace, security and stability.
