Syria is to rehabilitate media establishments

Syria's Minister of Information, Mehdi Dakhellalla, on Thursday night announced the budgetary investment for the rehabilitate of the Syrian media.
In a statement to the press, Dakhellalla said the budget was founded on the base of the media institutions reconstruction and the restructuring of the whole Syrian media that depended on rationing investment expenditures.
"There is a plan to rebuild the Syrian media infrastructure which has not yet been discussed but the budgetary plan is based on it," he underlined.
He did not rule out the merger of two big media institutions in Syria namely Tishrin and Al-Thawra noting that no one journalist would lose his job but rather there was a need for more jobs.
