Lebanese foreign minister confers with Russian ambassador on common issues

Lebanese Foreign Minister Jean Obeid on Friday discussed with Russian ambassador in Beirut Sergei Buken issues of common concern to both Lebanon and Russia in addition to the Russian stance towards the UN Security Council resolution No. 1559 and the current consultations in the Security Council regarding it.
Earlier, in a statement Buken voiced his country's rejection of the resolution No. 1559 considering it as an intervention in Lebanon's internal affairs.
